With over three decades of experience across business consulting, community programs, wellness education and digital strategy, I bring a unique blend of lived experience and professional expertise to everything I do.
I’ve worked with startups, small businesses, not-for-profits and multicultural communities, as well as premium hospitality and globally recognized brands, across Australia and Southeast Asia; helping them grow with clarity, confidence and practical systems that actually work in real life.
My background spans customer experience, project management, digital capability building, wellness facilitation and AI-powered business solutions - allowing me to bridge strategy with heart and structure with soul.
Yen Hawkes is the founder of Platypus Digital Consultancy; where strategy, technology and human insights meet.
She works across worlds - business, AI, digital systems, community, lived experience and makes it make sense.
With over three decades of experience across banking, consulting, customer experience, digital projects, community initiatives and entrepreneurship, Yen’s career has never fit neatly into a single box. Her work has moved between strategy and service, technology and people, structure and intuition. Over time, this became her strength. She developed a natural ability to see patterns, connect ideas and translate complexity into clarity - especially for people who feel overwhelmed or stuck between old ways and new possibilities.
Her approach is calm, practical and deeply human. Yen believes that good strategy shouldn’t feel intimidating and that technology - including AI; should empower people, not alienate them. She is known for meeting people where they are, listening carefully and building systems that feel supportive, usable and sustainable.
Through Platypus Digital Consultancy, Yen works with founders, organizations and community groups who are navigating change and don’t want jargon, pressure or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, she offers clarity, grounded guidance and a way forward that feels aligned and achievable.
